We are through the majority of Spring Games, and it looks like the Spring Game Attendance Title will remain in the State of Alabama for the second straight season. As we predicted, Alabama dethroned Auburn for the top attendance, not only in the state, but in the entire nation. So far, 13 of our predicted Top 15 played their games -- 11 of the 13 are currently in the actual Top 15 rankings. It looks like we missed on two SEC teams, LSU and Ole Miss, who played their games earlier than usual and lacked the expected fan turnout. Replacing them in the Top 10 are South Carolina and Florida.
Ohio State's high ticket prices (and then late price drop), and live television coverage may have kept some fans at home. Nebraska again turned out a Top 5 attendance, remarkable for one of the only schools that actually charges for tickets to the usually-free event. We will wait to release our spring football review until all Spring Games are completed. Some notable games still to be played include: (4/26) Arkansas, Iowa, Michigan State, Kansas State, UCLA, Virginia Tech (5/3) Oregon, Oregon State TOP 15 ATTENDANCE RANKINGS (Through April 19th Games) RELATED ARTICLE: Top 15 Spring Attendance Predictions
